Figure Roundup

GarbledOne's picture

My figures, let me show you them. Well, mine, if I define "mine" as "I really want to buy." Since I spend so much of my time researching what new figures are coming out, I figured (no pun intended) that I should post a roundup a la Danny Choo of some of the hot new figures coming out every week or so. Please note that I also stole most of these pictures from GA Graphic, so all credit goes to them.

More after the break...

First up... Nendoroids!

Most of you guys have probably seen the lovely Nendoroid series from the GoodSmile Company when they released their Suzumiya Haruhi line. Well, there's even more now to add to the cuteness. Introducing the new Rider (Fate/Stay Night), Binchou-tan (Binchou-tan), and Nao (Mabunogi) Nenderoids! All with swappable faces and pose-able bodies, these figures are guaranteed to steal your heart. Good Smile has been pumping these things out for a while, starting with the infamous Neko Arc (or as we like to call her, Nyaarucueid), and most recently with these, as well as the girls from Lucky Star, Al Ajif from Demonbane, and Reindeer L from Death Note.

Following that up is Gothic Lolita Asuka from Atomic-Bom.

Originally a garage kit release, this figure garnered so much popularity that it was picked up for a full PVC release. Still, standing 285mm tall, this 1/6 scale figure is still drawing eyes with it's amazing base and intricate workmanship. Estimated release date is mid December 2007 at 15540 yen.

As a bonus: GothPunk Rei

I've personally taking a liking to GSC's Nendoriod line as well. I really like the タチコマンズ.

You should add Death-sensei into your want list Smiling

Very nice figures there, Jason. I'm diggin' those Nendroid figures. I agree with Danny, Haruhi looks good in Kyon's uniform, heh.

The Lucky Star girls and Al Azif look adorable too. More stuff to burn my money on!

Gothic Lolita Asuka and Goth Punk Rei look damn nice as well. however, I'm not much of a fan of how they sculpted Rei's face. Something seems a bit off.
