Figure Roundup

GarbledOne's picture

Finally back from Vegas and back into blogging/working/whatever mode. So without further ado, here I go with another minor figure update.

After the break of course.
Update: Forgot a figure. That's what I get for writing a post at 1 AM, I suppose.

First up we have Camisole clad Louise and Sweet White Louise from Kotobukiya. Sweet White version sports a white camisole and in デレデレ mode. Camisole Louise sports a black one and her in ドキドキ mode. Both look to be average Kotobukiya quality.

Next, comes this amazing figure...

Saber Alter from Solid Theater", released under Good Smile Company. This figure is 1/8 scale, standing 200mm tall (HUGE) and is PVC. The clothing (armor?) shows typical Good Smile quality and the detail on the face is absolutely amazing. Expect the figure out in March 2008.

Straight from Cospa's newest line...

Nayuki! Yes, that one company that keeps putting out crap that we all want to buy has finally started releasing figures. And what a better way to start than with this delicious 230mm tall 1/6 scale Minase Nayuki PVC. This figure has already hit the shelves, and I can say that I really want one. You can snag one now off Amazon.jp for a mere 7121 yen (discounted, actually 7800)!

Also in the レジンヤ! line from Cospa: 1/6 Shirokawa Kotori bikini version (I'd post about this as a huge Kotori fanboy, but the figure doesn't quite capture the true greatness that is this tragic heroine. Actually, in a previous conversation we explored the possibility that Kotori would become less awesome if she were not such a tragic heroine. Overwhelming response? SHE IS PERFECT), 1/6 PVC Kusugawa Sasara.

Moving on....

I wish I were living in Japan. So I could go to the Dengeki 15th Anniversary Matsuri. And waste 7000 yen.

Update:
I don't know why I forgot to post this...

From the circle that brought you Space Yuki and God Knows Haruhi comes this already amazing looking Princess Tutu Garage Kit. If you haven't watched the series yet, I highly recommend it. It's one part mahou shoujo, one part fairy tale, and one part ZOMG DRAMA shaken to perfection and poured into a martini glass. Sip or take as a shot while enjoying classical opera or ballet music, this series is one of the best to come out of 2002 and 2003. I'm looking forward to seeing how this figure will turn out in the end.

Anyway, those are my picks for the past week and a half. Comments?

t3h Dave:

Dark Saber's face looks a bit disgruntled, though I suppose that's how she should look. Amazing detail. Funny that my current Wallpaper is Dark Sakura and Dark Saber.

Nice picks there Jason, some good quality.
