Figure Roundup - Thigh Highs Edition

Time for my weekly figure roundup, this time with extra thigh highs.
First off, the one figure everyone's been talking about:

The lovely Schuetlitch Needa from the Shuraki game series produced by Red Entertainment. Preorders have finally opened for this stunning new cast-off PVC from our friends the Good Smile Company and Red Entertainment. And yes, I said cast off. If you're not sure what the difference between a cast on and a cast off is, check out Danny Choo's explanation.
Needa sports some hot knee high boots, thigh high stockings, and an impressive set of... weapons... that would make any man stand straight and go "Yes Ma'am!" A perfect centerpiece for any otaku's table, especially with the 24 page booklet and original drama CD it comes with.
Price: 6800 yen
Scale: 1:8
Height: 210mm
Release: 2008/3
Next on the list...

Kousaka Tamaki from ToHeart 2. Like Mizuki from the intro picture, Tamaki hails from the legendary company Leaf/Aquaplus which has pumped out classics such as ToHeart, Comic Party, White Album, and Underwater Ray Ramano (complete with psycho VA in the anime radio drama).
Anyway, the softer side of Tamaki is emphasized in this figure, with Tama-nee coyly holding her basketball behind her back. The only real flaw I can find in these pictures seems to be the hair highlighting, but that may just be me being overly picky (and trying to find reasons not to devastate my wallet). This figure is also produced by G.O. of CerberusProject TM, who has done tons of gorgeous figures in the past.
Price: 6648 yen
Scale: 1:7
Height: 20cm
Release Date: 2008/1
Another release from CerberusProject...

A character from my previous employers favorite artist: Plenair! Although she doesn't quite sport the zettai ryouki look, she does have thigh high stockings and that qualifies her for this round of figures.
As usual, she's carrying around her favorite two stuffed animals/companions Usagi-san and Same-san in cute poses. This one is crafted by N.S. Gun from CerberusProject TM.
Price: 6980 yen
Scale: 1:7
Height: 16cm
Release Date: 2008/1
Lastly...
Borrowed from GoodSmile
Pastel Ink from Moetan! This lolitastic figure has just about everything that everyone loves about the series, including the extremely cute style, vibrant color, and Pedo Duck.
Having watched some of the series and read all of the books, I have to say that Moetan has got to be the most hilarious English learning aid I have ever seen come out of Japan. I mean, when you have a cast full of raging pedophiles lusting after high schoolers that look like they belong in 5th grade (Scratch that, Ink looks like she may have never graduated the 3rd grade. In fact, I think the worst thing about it is that I found this as the splash page on the official website) and add a ton of some of the most otaku references you can find into a book designed for adults learning english, the laughs don't stop coming.
Even if you're not a pedo, you can still appreciate the sheer exquisiteness of this figure. The base and Ink are actually fully separate pieces and you can see the typical GSC quality in every part, down to the copious amounts of drool coming out of PedoDuck's mouth. Ink looks great standing by herself, even without the base. You can also swap her hand with one carrying a lollipop!
Price: 8800 yen
Scale: 1:8
Height: 205mm
Release Date: 2008/3

For you true lolicon out there, the 1/1 scale Rin figure from Kodomo no Jikan finally has a preview of their colored version. Personally I feel like I'm looking at a kid with Downs Syndrome, but maybe that's just the shoddy initial paint job. The website states that this paint job will not be the final, but a preliminary. There is a possibility that it will change drastically for the final product. For the sake of my sanity, let's hope so.
To finish, I want to ask one question: do you think that I should post more pictures in my roundups? Leave an answer in the comments!

Great post. I don’t live in new york, but I have family that does and they are in 100% agreement with you on the comment about being the highest taxed state in the union and still having a huge deficit. That’s just criminal. But back to the insurance. I agree with the previous commenter that this a great blog and also that if you do have an older car it is wise to just drop the collision if the premium and deductible is going to cost you more than the car is worth. great post.
