Figure Roundup - Eva Nano~

The power of the Gainax cash cow compels you!
Most Eva fans know of the existence of the Evangelion Shito XX series of figures where some of the Angels in the series are converted to the double X chromosome side (which apparently means that they become busty cute girls... who knew?). They released Sachiel, Zereul, Armisael (in the lovely form of the infected Rei), Tabris (ZOMG, why did they make Kaoru male in the series? This would have sold so many more copies! On second thought, the fangirls also need their staple...), and finally Lilith fused with Rei. Now coming out are three more figures in the ZOKU Evangelion Shito XX line: Arael, Sahaquiel, and Sahmshel. All of these 続 (NEXT) figures are a great improvement on the previous line with much higher production quality and designs. Not only have they improved on the painting and arrangements of the faces, but each figure appears in a much more natural pose than in the original line.
But this post isn't about those beautiful figures in the next line. It's about the new line of moe figure that Gainax is milking out of it's cash cow to destroy wallets. Yes, I'm talking about the Evangelion Shito-XX Nano! series. Basically super deformed versions of the originals, they share the same quality of sculpting and paint as the ZOKU series of figures but are much much cuter and portable (well, slightly more. The previous series were approximately 14cm tall while these are 10).
So, without further ado, let's meet these angels of the desktop (pun intended, go ahead and groan).
Let's start with the first two already released ones:

Sachiel and Lillith!
These two cuties have been out since mid November and are available through the Gainax Store for a piddling 1890 yen. You can also find them on Hobby Link Japan.
Next up are...

Tabris (Kaoru), Zeruel, and Leliel! These babies are slated to be available sometime in March 2008, so get your preorders in, or be ready to buy when they come out!
All of the figures in the Shito-XX series were designed by Yoshiaki Mine, who is best known for his manga Keroro Gunsou (Sgt. Frog). Here's a compilation of some of the concept sketches for the Nano figures.
Stolen then crappily shopped from Hobby Wave
Anyway, that's it for this week's roundup. What do you all think?

Excellent find! So moe I'm going to die. When you mentioned that the Manga-Ka of Keroro Gunsou designed these figures, I immediately took a long look at that image, and I do see the resemblance.
